Hov Pod Demo and Training

Training is carried out on grass, to allow delegates to become familiar with the operation.

Demo Objectives:

During the demo, we will demonstrate:

• How strong the Hov Pod is - we use a mallet to whack the hull material, and invite you to try tear the Hov Pod skirt material after we initiate a cut with scissors.
• How easy the Hov Pod is to drive, for your complete safety.
•  Ease of use of the Hov Pod trailer for fast load, unload. Current record is 29 seconds.
•  We will discuss details that other hovercraft forget to mention, such as weight restrictions that apply when starting on water.

Training

If you are coming for training, we offer three modules, and issue certificates if we feel you have reached the desired level of confidence for safe operation.

Module 1 - Operator Training, and basic servicing

This covers safety, operation, pre flight checks and basic servicing. By the end of this course the delegate will feel confident in the control of the Hov Pod SPX, and able to train others. It will also briefly cover basic pre flight safety and servicing such as on skirts, filters etc.

Module 2 - Routine and Preventive Maintenance

This module provides an outline of routine preventative maintenance and is intended to familiarize you with the Hov Pod's major components, and to show you how to check the safety of the craft.

Module 3 – Advanced maintenance and servicing

This course is designed for dealers or customers who wish to provide full craft service (including basic engine servicing) and ability to strip the Hov Pod SPX down. Module Three is also recommended for customers who wish to self assemble the Hov Pod SPX LM (Local Manufacture).

Dealers and Local Manufacturing Customers

It is a recommended that dealers or those wishing to purchase the Hov Pod Lm take all 3 modules. Successful completion of the modules will be recognized through Hov Pod certification.
